Members-at-Large live in an area where there aren't yet enough members to establish a Tent. These members receive all the benefits of membership, including copies of the Department and National General Orders (each mailed out three times a year), and invitations to attend the annual Department and National conventions.
If you live in an area where there is not yet a Tent, please do not hesitate to apply for membership. Please consider choosing to be affiliated with a Tent, even if you are not able to attend monthly meetings. And, if you know other women who are direct descendants of Union veterans, please consider helping to establish a Tent in your area. The Department is more than happy to offer any guidance you may need.
