Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865 (DUVCW) offer many scholarships for both members and non-members:

Grand Army of the Republic Living Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a college or university student entering their sophomore, junior or senior year. The applicant must be a lineal descendant of a Union Veteran of the Civil War, have a satisfactory scholastic standing, and be of good moral character with a firm belief in our form of government.

duvs Scholarship
This Scholarship is awarded to a deserving member to assist with her education at the post-secondary level. Members may apply for funding during their senior year in high school. The applicant must have been active as a duv for a minimum of two (2) consecutive years. The applicant must have and maintain a satisfactory scholastic standing. No more than four (4) duvs scholarships shall be awarded in any given year.

Historic Preservation Award
Tents, Detached Tents and Departments may apply for a Preservation grant for eligible projects which include, but are not limited to, the preservation of cemeteries, grave sites, monuments, statues, artifacts, relics, historical documents, manuscripts and landmarks related to the Civil War, the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR), and the DUVCW. All Departments, Tents, and Detached Tents in good standing are eligible to receive a monetary award, regardless of their membership status.
